Shiva A. Umesh

is a well versed, versatile drummer; as well as a mallet percussionist. He started off on clarinet at the age of 10 and got the bug to play drums after watching a video of the Beatles. He spent all four years in High School playing the drums and mallet percussion. After High School and University, Shiva became a staple in the music scene. He played throughout the state of California, did two tours of the midwest USA, and two performances overseas in Europe. In addition to Fresno, Shiva is also active in the Los Angeles music scene, having done multiple recording sessions, performed at Capital Records in Hollywood, and a proud member of Los Angeles chapter of AFM(local 47). He is educated in multiple genres and has a career of teaching drums and mallet percussion. Shiva proudly plays: Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Remo Drumheads, and Promark drumsticks.
